In the quiet hamlet of Canevino, in the municipality of Colli Verdi, lies a place of silence and spirituality immersed in nature: the "Grotta della Madonna". It is a small natural cavity in the rock, inside which a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes has been placed, a symbol of faith and popular devotion.

The site recalls the apparitions of the Virgin Mary that occurred in Lourdes in 1858, and like that sacred place, the Canevino grotto has over time become a destination of prayer, meditation, and pilgrimage for residents and visitors.

The carefully preserved statue is enveloped in a captivating atmosphere, made even more intense by the simplicity of its setting: rocks, moss, and spontaneous vegetation frame this peaceful oasis. The Grotto of the Madonna is a landmark for the local community, forming part of a small religious trail within the hamlet of Canevino, along with the statue dedicated to Saint Columbanus and the Church of Santa Maria Assunta. A small spiritual treasure nestled in the Oltrepò Pavese landscape, where nature and faith meet in harmony.
